Trading Floor

The Trading Floor is an exchange-style room: posts, a gallery, stone and brass, hanging boards, and terminals. Desks are grouped so companies that share an exchange sit in neighbouring pits. You do not trade from this room. You read what has been reported.

What a company shows

Open a desk, or open a company from the directory. You get that company’s filings, newest first, and the reported line items behind a filing you choose. A line can be read as a history across the periods Realm holds. When you compare, you can set the same line beside a few other companies. The comparison does not sum duplicate reports of one period. A later filing is what you see for that period.

Detailed tables stay on the page panel, where you can read them. The room shows the floor and the boards. It does not try to print a full statement onto a wall.

The hub’s “On the floor” strip lists a few names and tickers currently in view. It is a sample, not the directory.

In the room

Walk to a desk. When you are close, open it the same way you open a newsroom display: E, a click, or Open on a touch screen. The panel is where you move from the company to a filing and then to the lines in that filing.

Corner links go to the Newsroom, the Spacedeck, and Market.

If company data cannot be loaded, the floor says so. It does not substitute invented prices or filings. A labelled demo feed, when one is showing, is marked as a demo.

The company directory

Market lists the companies as a directory. Open a name to read the same filings and line items without the room. This is the right page when you want to scan, search with the browser, or avoid the three-dimensional view.

Find a company by its name or ticker. That is the public identity on the desk and in the list.
