Harness

Harness

Scopa’s Harness is one desktop window, plus the scopacli engine on the same machine. The window talks to that engine. It does not call a model API itself. The engine does, with the keys you supplied.

You bring your own model provider. You bring any MCP servers you want. There is no Scopa hosted account. There is no telemetry.

Official installers are not published yet. Where a download would be, this guide says Coming soon…. The product page will live at scopa1811.com/harness when the website ships that route.

It is proprietary software for personal or internal use.

What a visit looks like

  1. Install, when an installer is available.
  2. Add a provider.
  3. Open a folder.
  4. Read the plan.
  5. Approve before anything is written.

Nothing is written on that first reply. Allow is what starts the work.

Where to go next

  • Getting started — installers, the first hour, uninstall.
  • Providers — endpoints, keys, and switching model.
  • Modes — general, coder, researcher, secretary.
  • Coding — plans, edits, tests, stop, undo, git.
  • Sessions — resume, rename, export.
  • MCP — servers you choose.
  • Permissions — folders, shell, search.
  • Files — where config, keys, and transcripts live.
