Harness

MCP

MCP servers are programs or URLs you choose. Only what you list is started. Harness does not start a server you have not added.

The list is yours. It is stored on this machine, in the file named in Files. Removing a line there, or removing it from the window, is what stops that server next time.

From the public registry

You can search the public MCP registry, read the info for a server, then install it or remove it.

Install asks first. Remove asks first. Reading the info does not install anything.

After you install, that server is one of the ones you list. A mode still has to allow MCP, and you still grant what that server is allowed to touch. Coder can use MCP when you have granted it. General does not.

If one server fails

If a server fails to start, the message says so and names it. The others still run. Fix the program, the URL, or the key that server needs, then start that one again. You do not have to remove the rest to do this.
