Search

Search in Forge is two boxes, in order. There is no question box.

Object Selection​

Object Selection is at the top of the page. The placeholder is Select an object.... The choices are the collection names, in alphabetical order. Coming soon... names are not in this list. News Articles is the one the index keeps out.

Pick one name. The page for that collection replaces the index. Pick another name to leave it.

The Model box beside it is not search. It stays on ScopaNLG.

Once a collection is open, Item Search: is the way in. The placeholder is Search for an item.... Start typing a public name, or open the list and choose one.

What you type is matched to the name Forge shows, plus a second public mark where the collection has one:

  • Companies: name, ticker, or exchange.
  • Electric vehicles: name or manufacturer.
  • Elements: name or symbol.
  • Countries: name or official name.
  • AI models: name or alias, among the search fields on that collection.
  • Pasta, grapes, grains, and the other shared catalogs: the name, and the extra marks that collection lists in the search, such as a synonym or a slug where the label uses one.

You cannot search across every collection at once. Change Object Selection first.

Filters​

Shared collections put filters above the list. They are the labels on that collection: status, species, colour, manufacturer, and the like. They narrow the list you already opened. They do not invent rows. If the filter leaves nothing, the list is empty. Clear it or pick another name.

When nothing matches​

If the collection has no records, the page says “No records are currently available for this object.” If your text matches nothing, the item list simply does not offer that name. Forge does not guess a nearby record.
