Profiles
A profile is the record you selected. It opens after Item Search. The panel is titled Profile. Fields are the curated facts for that collection, with their labels. Empty facts are left out rather than filled in. A written note beside the panel describes what is on screen. It is not a reply to a question.
What you will see
Specialised collections lay the profile out for that subject:
- Commodities start with the name and type, then the detail Forge holds for that good, and related commodities when they exist.
- Companies show the listed name and the filing identity on the record. Reported line items can be charted. The page says the figures are as reported and are not financial advice.
- Countries show the country, then the economic series on file. The source note names DataBank.
- Electric vehicles show the vehicle, then a specification you pick so you can see that model among the others. Characteristics come from the maker’s documentation, and each model carries the country of that release.
- Elements show the element, then a property you pick. The comparison help names what the property is set against.
- Star systems show the system, then the stars and planets recorded in it. A measurement is shown only where it was recorded. Many systems are a name and a host galaxy.
Shared collections use one layout. The profile lists the curated fields, then groups of related names. Those group titles are the ones on the page, such as Aliases, Traits, Growing Areas, or Producers. Open a name in a group when it is a link. If a group has no rows, it is not filled with placeholders.
Written notes
The note is generated from the record you are looking at. If Forge does not hold a figure, the note says so. It does not estimate one. You cannot type into it.
If the record will not load
The note says the record was not found. Go back to Item Search and pick another name. Do not refresh in the hope of a different record.
